4 Days | Rwanda
Upon arriving in Rwanda, a knowledgeable driver-guide will greet you and provide an overview of your upcoming four-day gorilla trekking experience. A picturesque drive of approximately two and a half hours will take you to Musanze, located near Volcanoes National Park. If time permits upon your arrival, a brief city tour, potentially including the Kigali Genocide Memorial Center, can be arranged. Upon reaching Musanze, you’ll check in for your overnight stay.

An early start, after breakfast, takes you to the park headquarters at Kinigi for registration and a briefing by experienced park rangers. The gorilla tracking adventure then begins within Volcanoes National Park, enhanced by the rangers’ expert guidance. The lush rainforest provides a tranquil and awe-inspiring setting. After the trek, you’ll return to your lodge for an evening of relaxation, dinner, and overnight accommodation.
After breakfast, you’ll visit the site dedicated to Dian Fossey, a pioneering American primatologist and conservationist known for her work with gorillas. Through engaging stories, you’ll learn about her remarkable efforts and unwavering commitment to protecting gorilla habitats. You may also have the opportunity to purchase her book, “Gorillas in the Mist.” A period of leisure follows, concluding with dinner and an overnight stay at your lodge.
Following breakfast, you’ll participate in a short visit to a local community or village, offering insights into daily life in rural Rwanda. Subsequently, the journey back to Kigali commences, with time allocated for souvenir shopping at local markets. A final lunch will be provided before your driver-guide accompanies you to either Kigali International Airport or your chosen drop-off location within the city, marking the end of your memorable trip.
