Your Ugandan gorilla adventure begins with a greeting from your Usalama Tours driver-guide upon arrival at Kigali International Airport. You’ll then travel by road to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, crossing the border at Cyanika. You’ll arrive at your chosen lodge with ample time for lunch and a relaxing afternoon.
Following an early breakfast, prepare for a remarkable gorilla tracking experience within Bwindi’s varied ecosystem. This activity offers the opportunity to observe mountain gorillas in their natural environment. The tracking process can take anywhere from two to nine hours, adding an element of anticipation to the experience. This exciting encounter requires a degree of physical fitness and a sense of adventure. A briefing on appropriate gorilla interaction guidelines will prepare you for this special privilege. Dinner and overnight stay will be at your lodge.

After breakfast, you’ll depart for the Cyanika border crossing to complete the necessary formalities. You’ll then proceed to Kigali for a city tour, exploring key sites such as the local craft market, the Gisozi Genocide Memorial, and the Kigali Museum. This friendly capital offers a final opportunity for souvenir shopping before your transfer to the airport for your international departure.
